After a losing April (12-13), the Giants’ 1-0 win over the Cubs on Sunday improved their May record to 15-6 (.714) tops in the majors.
On offense, shortstop Brandon Crawford has led the charge, batting .278/.321/.500 this month heading into Sunday’s game. He has hit four of his six home runs and driven in 16 of his 22 runs in May, including two home runs and six RBIs in last week’s three-game set against the Padres.
