Chula Vista resident wins at Sycuan

A Chula Vista resident hit a $1.22 million jackpot at Sycuan Casino on Wednesday.

Falina R. turned pennies into $1.22 million while playing on Sycuan Casino’s Buffalo Grand slot machine. The casino did not release her full name.

“Our guests have been on a hot streak lately,” said John Dinius, general manager at Sycuan Casino.

In March the casino had a $1.25 million winner and a few weeks later a $660,000 winner.

“The energy in the casino right now is incredible and the amount of jackpots we’re handing out is extraordinary,” Dinius said. “It just takes one push of a button to change the entire course of a person’s day or life.”

Sycuan Casino has 2,000 slots and more than 40 table games with smoking and nonsmoking environments.
