Budget-friendly family movies

Share

For families looking to spend their summer going to the movies, there are slim pickings when it comes to new releases.

Besides last week’s “Inside Out,” there’s just “Minions,” the foosball-themed “Underdogs,” Adam Sandler’s “Pixels” and a few others.

But two movie theater companies in town will offer family films all summer, and admission will be a dollar or less. Titles include modern films like “The Lego Movie” as well as classics like “The Wizard of Oz.”
