Valley View Casino closed for renovations
Valley Center casino will reopen Jan. 17
The Valley View Casino & Hotel in Valley Center is closed for business until Jan. 17 while a “head-to-toe” remodel of the facility is undertaken.
“We’ve decided to do all of this in 11 days instead of inconveniencing (our customers) with six months or more of constant stop-and-go construction that continuously interrupts their fun,” general manager Bruce Howard said in a news release.
The popular casino and hotel off Lake Wohlford Road closed it doors on Jan. 6.
The “Extreme Casino Makeover” will include an expanded buffet, new carpeting and chairs, upgraded hotel rooms and casino restrooms, and other improvements.
The 11-day project will involve nonstop construction work around the clock.
A grand opening weekend will begin Friday, Jan. 17 at 8 a.m. and continue throughout the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.
The facility is owned by the San Pasqual Indian band and was first opened for business in 2001.
