Man detained; Coronado bridge reopens
SAN DIEGO —
Both directions of the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge were closed for more than an hour Thursday night due to a man threatening to jump.
San Diego police and the California Highway Patrol responded about 6:40 p.m.
Emergency negotiators talked to the man, who at one point was on the bridge rail.
Coronado police reported about 8 p.m. that a man was taken into custody and said the bridge was reopened.
