From 10 to 11 a.m., the bus and its occupants will be at the Veteran’s Museum & Memorial Park, 2115 Park Blvd.

The tour, organized by Virginia-based Concerned Veterans for America, is intended to highlight the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs claims backlog, Pentagon spending reform and the national debt as a security concern.

According to the group’s website, high-profile veterans are along for the ride, including Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, who served as a Marine in Afghanistan. But a spokesman said Meyer will not be at the San Diego stops.

The three-week bus tour is scheduled to also stop in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina.
